Why your review matters

JC Fencing & Gates is a local Geelong business, and almost every job we take on comes from a recommendation. When you leave a review you're telling other homeowners in Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula what it's actually like to work with Josh and the team — how the quote was explained, whether we turned up when we said we would, how the site was left at the end of the day, and how the finished fence, gate or retaining wall looks now that you're living with it. That kind of first-hand detail is far more useful to your neighbours than anything we could write about ourselves, and it's also what Google uses to decide which local fencing contractors to show when someone searches for fencing in Geelong.

What to write about

You don't need to write much — two or three honest sentences is plenty. If you're not sure where to start, these prompts usually help:

• • What type of job we did — timber paling fence, Colorbond boundary fence, custom gate, sleeper retaining wall, deck, pergola or carpentry repair.
• • Which suburb or town the work was in, so locals nearby know we cover their area.
• • How the quoting and communication went from the first phone call through to the final invoice.
• • Whether the timeline and price matched what was quoted.
• • How the finished work looks and whether the site was left clean and tidy.
• • A photo of the finished job, if you have one — photos make a review far more helpful.

How to leave a Google review
